Privacy Policy

Last updated · Faybers

This policy explains how Faybers handles information when you visit the FayPOS website or use the owner dashboard, cashier app and related support services.

1. Who operates FayPOS

FayPOS is operated by Faybers. For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, email support@faybers.com. This policy covers the FayPOS service; external websites have their own policies.

2. Information we handle

  • Account information: your name, phone number, password hash, verification status, account access and support correspondence.
  • Store and staff information: store name, address or map location when provided, receipt branding, employee details, roles and access records. Employee PINs and account passwords are stored as hashes rather than readable passwords.
  • Business records: products, stock, purchase costs, sales, returns, taxes, charges, expenses, cash-drawer entries, promotions and audit records.
  • Customer information entered by a store: names, phone numbers, addresses when supplied, and purchases associated with a customer.
  • Technical information: device and terminal identifiers, app versions, authentication sessions, request metadata such as IP addresses and browser information, and service or security records needed to operate the system.

3. How information is used

We use information to verify accounts, provide store access, process and synchronize business records, generate receipts and reports, maintain backups, provide support, and protect the service against unauthorized use. Phone numbers are used for verification and configured service messages.

The current FayPOS website does not include advertising pixels or third-party audience analytics trackers. Store sales analytics calculate reports from the business records entered into FayPOS.

4. Information entered by stores

Store owners decide which employee and customer information to enter, who may access it, and how it is used in their business. They are responsible for providing any required notices, obtaining appropriate permissions, and entering only information they are entitled to use.

If you are a customer or employee of a store using FayPOS, contact that store first about its records. You can also contact Faybers about the operation of the FayPOS service.

5. Browser and device storage

FayPOS uses browser or app storage for login sessions, device setup, store settings, cached catalogues, receipts and pending transactions. This supports authentication and offline operation. Local caches may contain store, employee or customer information.

Protect shared devices and sign out when appropriate. Clearing app or browser storage can remove unsynchronized transactions; synchronize or preserve those records before clearing storage or uninstalling the app.

6. Service providers and external services

Information is available to authorized users of your store according to their permissions. Authorized Faybers administrators handle account and service information for operation, security and support. Configured hosting, SMS, backup or archive-storage providers receive the information needed to deliver those services. SMS delivery involves the recipient phone number and message content.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Store location tools use OpenStreetMap tiles and Nominatim search, which can receive network information, map searches or selected coordinates. Following an Instagram or WhatsApp link takes you to an external service with its own privacy policy.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or necessary to respond to a valid legal request or protect the service. Provider processing may take place in different countries depending on where those services operate.

7. Payment information

The current cashier records payment methods and amounts, including cash and card. It does not collect full card numbers, card security codes or online-banking login details through its payment workflow. Do not enter those secrets into product, customer or receipt notes. Payment providers and card terminals used separately by a store have their own data practices.

8. Retention and deletion

Account and business records are retained as needed to operate the service, support the store, maintain transaction history, resolve disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Deactivating an account blocks access; it does not automatically delete its records.

Request account closure or deletion by emailing support@faybers.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the records. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting or security reasons. Deleted information can remain in protected backups until those backups rotate; device copies and exports must also be handled by the store.

9. Security and your choices

The hosted service uses HTTPS, hashed passwords and PINs, and access controls scoped to accounts, stores and roles. No system can remove every security risk. Keep credentials private, limit staff permissions and protect the devices holding offline data.

You may contact support@faybers.com to ask about access, correction, export or deletion of information. Available responses depend on the records involved, your authority over them and applicable requirements. FayPOS is intended for business use rather than use by children as independent account holders.

10. Policy updates

We may update this policy as the service or its data handling changes. The date at the top identifies the current published version. Review this page when enabling new services or integrations.
